Manic Monday
man·ic /ˈmænɪk/ adjective - very excited, energetic, or emotional
Sorry I couldn't write sooner but today's blog is definitely appropriately named. Why is it that Monday's have to follow "Murphy's Law" in that Whatever can happen will happen? On a typical Monday I often ask myself these questions:
Of all days to wake up late, why Monday?
Of all days that my pants rip, why Monday.
Of all days I forget my lunch/lunch money, why Monday?
I feel like my Monday will depict the rest of my week. Is that only me? When I'm running late driving into work and I have to get stuck behind an 18 Wheeler, am I the only one who shakes my steering wheel uncontrollably in hopes that I might break it off which would in turn entice the driver in front of me to either speed up or get away from the crazy lady with her steering wheel in her hand?! Sigh. Please tell me I am not the only one screaming at the old couple who chose to cross the street during a yellow light forcing your whole line of traffic to come to a complete blinding hault! I can't be the only person who wakes up every morning and stares at the liquor cabinet, fighting that inside urge whether or not it is appropriate to have Kahlua, Bailey's and Vodka in my morning coffee? I refuse that no one who is actually working does NOT share these thoughts with me. Needless to say I am NOT among the many who suffer from unemployment so at the end of this horrific Monday that I've experienced, I am still oddly grateful.... to be employed at all. o___O
SMH Hopefully Tuesday is better.
